The Embrace is my interpretation of The Kiss by Gustav Klimt.

What if The Kiss were made a by a woman? The original piece has always had a special place in my heart because it was introduced to me in high school by an equally special teacher. To flip the script, I chose a much cooler, calmer, softer color palette of blues and greens and the dominant figure is feminine instead of masculine. I wanted to invite the viewer to feel held and supported instead of dominated.
Each print has been hand embellished in delicate detail with the same shimmer paint used on the original.
